A2 Biology field trip

On Saturday 23 February, nine A2 Biology students braved the windy weather to complete an interrupted belt transect of the Birkenhead Rocky Shore.  Students were investigating whether the abundance of algae, such as Neptune’s Necklace and snails such as Oyster Borers or Black Nerita, varied as you moved away from the shoreline.  It was a great opportunity to apply their learning to a novel context!
