Looking for something fun to do with the kids over the school holidays? Head down to Silo 6, Wynyard Quarter to be inspired by the art on display from not only some of NZ’s leading creative practitioners, but also a number of our students!
ACG Parnell College was selected to contribute to a fascinating exhibition about how the people of New Zealand connect through creativity. There will be artwork from Freeman’s Bay Kindergarten, Pt Chevalier School and Pasadena Intermediate sitting alongside cutting-edge displays from tertiary students and a selection of established industry creatives.
A living Kauri tree, refurbished motorbike, spray paint and dramatic landscape photography set the scene. Add your own thoughts about NZ at an art-station and stick them to the wall. Use your smart phone to unlock hidden layers of meaning through augmented reality.
Check out their Facebook page for more details about two live Ta Moko tattoo ceremonies, or when to watch a traditional blacksmith forge metal by hand.
