School Snow Sport Competition

This year ACG Parnell entered a team of 3 into 2018 NIPS competition: Eugene Wang (Year 3), Cameron Barrett (Year 4) and Caspar Choy (Year 6).  NIPS – North Island Primary and Intermediate School Snow Sports Championships – is a ski racing competition open to all pupils in Years 1-8 broken into two age categories over two weeks.  ACG Parnell team entered into the Year 1-6 competition in the second week of event.  This was NIPS’ 29th year of competition which attracted over 450 competitors from 108 schools from across the North Island.  The ACG Parnell team finished in the 36th place out of 108 teams.  This is a fantastic result as ACG Parnell team only consisted of three members rather than the permissible five per team.  The boys can truly hold their heads high with pride.  The team can’t wait for next year and hope that other ACG pupils will join them in this great event.
